The national unemployment rate was, at the end of November, 2.72%, lower than that of the previous month by 0.04 pct and 0.60 pct below that recorded in the same month of last year, the National Agency for Employment (ANOFM) reported on Monday.
The total number of unemployed at the end of November 2021 was 237,887 people, lower by 3,653 people compared to the one recorded at the end of October.
Of the total number of registered unemployed, 56,657 were compensated and 181,230 were uncompensated.
On residential areas, 72,969 unemployed come from urban areas and 164,918 unemployed come from rural areas.
Most of the unemployed were between 40 and 49 years old (61,665), followed by those aged between 50 and 55 years (48,925), at the opposite end being people between 25 and 29 years old (11,936).
Regarding the structure of the unemployment according to the level of education, the unemployed without education and those with primary education level have a significant share in the total number of unemployed persons registered in the ANOFM studies (29,13 pct).
