President Klaus Iohannis said on Wednesday that if the ground rules are followed, the risk of infection with the novel coronavirus in polling stations will be reduced to a minimum.
"If everyone follows a few basic rules, which are essentially about properly wearing a protective mask, keeping your distance, avoiding congestion, hand hygiene and disinfecting commonly used items, then the risk of infection in polling stations is low. Practically, from this point of view, the expression of the vote does not differ significantly from other activities that we do in our daily life, such as shopping," the head of state said in a press conference at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace.
