The current account of Romania's 2017 balance of payments ran a deficit of over 6.464 billion euro, up 84.79 percent from 2016, the National Bank of Romania (BNR) said in a release on Tuesday.
The goods deficit was by 2.774 bln euro higher, and the primary income deficit was also by 566 ml euro wider; the surplus of the balance of services was 239 million euro higher, whereas the surplus of secondary revenues advanced by 135 million euro, the release said.
