Social Democratic Party (PSD) Chairman Liviu Dragnea announced on Thursday evening that on Friday there will be a new meeting of the party's National Executive Committee in order to establish the replacements for the outgoing ministers.

"Tomorrow [Friday] we'll have a new National Executive Committee meeting, at 12:00, at the same venue [the PSD seat on Kiseleff Boulevard], to discuss about the replacements. I will call Mr Tariceanu, to see when we can have a coalition meeting, to discuss with our partners, too," Dragnea said, at the end of the CExN meeting.

PSD leader Liviu Dragnea said on Thursday evening that Regional Development Minister Sevil Shhaideh and European Funds Minister Rovana Plumb maintained the decision to resign at the party's CExN meeting.

"They said that in the first place they don't want to raise question marks on the possibility of the PSD remaining at rule or affect the governmental activity," Dragnea said.

Moreover, he pointed out that Transport Minister Razvan Cuc tendered his resignation in the CExN meeting as well. AGERPRES (RO — author: Catalin Alexandru, editor: Antonia Nita; EN — editor: Adina Panaitescu)
