Romania women's table tennis team win the gold medals at Luxembourg's European Championships

The women's table tennis team of Romania won on Sunday the gold medals at the European Championships in Luxembourg, after a dramatic 3-2 finale vs the German team.

Daniela Dodean Monteiro brought the gold point to the tricolours through her victory against Ying Han, with 3-1 (11-4 11-8 4-11 12-10). Dodean had a remarkable recovery in the end of 4th set, from 8-10 to 12-10.

The first points of Romania team had been grabbed by Elizabeta Samara and Bernadette Szocs. Samara defeated Han 3-2 (9-11 12-10 9-11 11-9 11-7), whilst Szocs won to Nina Mittelham (11-5 11-5 6-11 11-6) with 3-1.

Both points of Germany were snatched by Xiaona Shan, who won 3-0 (11-6 11-6 11-7) to Dodean and 3-1 (11-8 11-9 15-17 11-3) against Eliza Samara.
