Head of communist-era secret police Tudor Postelnicu dies

Former head of the communist-era secret police 'Securitate' Tudor Postelnicu died aged 86, his wife confirmed on Saturday for television channel Digi24.

According to her, Postelnicu had been in the "Carol Davila" Military Hospital for several weeks with breathing problems.

He was being tried for being complicit in crimes against humanity in the case of the killing of prominent dissident Gheorghe Ursu.
