US Army Europe Commander, decorated by President Iohannis

President Klaus Iohannis signed on Wednesday the decree decorating Lieutenant General Frederick Benjamin Hodges, commander of the U.S. Army Europe.

According to a press release of the Presidential Administration, the head of state awarded the U.S. Army Europe commander the Order of Faithful Service in Grand Officer rank, with military insignia, as token of "high appreciation for the special contribution to the strengthening of Romania's security within the North Atlantic Alliance Treaty, for the efforts put into the implementation of the Operation "Atlantic Resolve" and the European Reassurance Initiative, in the context of the measures meant to reinforce the eastern flank of the Alliance."
