Romania snatches gold, silver in World Mountain Running Championships 2017 in Premana, Italy

Romania's junior women's team won the gold medal, and the junior men's team the silver one at the World Mountain Running Championships 2017 in Premana, Italy, in an extraordinary performance for the Romanian athletics, a release by the Romnaian Athletics Federation (FRA) informs.

The Romanian junior women's team, made up of Alesia Hecico, Gabriela Doroftei, Irina Bordeianu and Iulia Zudor won the gold medal in front of the strong teams of the United States (silver) and Italy (bronze) and ahead of Britain (4th place).

The junior men's team, of Dorin Rusu, Gabriel Bularda, Adrian Garcea and Peter Herman grabbed the silver medal, after Uganda, and ahead of Italy.
