Alin Firfirica wins silver medal in discus throw at European Athletics U23 Championships

Romanian athlete Alin Firfirica won on Sunday the silver medal in the discus throw final, at the European Athletics U23 Championships in Bydgoszcz (Poland).

In the final, Firfirica, aged 21, ranked 2nd with a discus throw of 60.17 m from the first attempt, being outrun only by Norwegian Sven Martin Skagestad with 61.00 m. The bronze medal was won by German Clemens Prufer with 60.08 m. The best personal result of Firfirica is a throw of 61.17 m that he had achieved in February 2017.
