Judo: Larisa Florian, 7th place in European Judo Open Women - Warsaw 2016

Romanian Judoka Larisa Florian came in 7th in the 52 kg category of the European Judo Open Women - Warsaw 2016.

Larisa Florian defeated Hungarian Katinka Szabo, but then lost to Ukrainian Oleksandra Starkova. In the repechage, Florian was defeated by Mongol Bundmaa Munkhbaatar through ippon and went out from the battle for the bronze medal, taking the 7th position.

In the 48 kg category, Violeta Dumitru was beaten in her first match by French Cheyene Mounier through ippon.

In the 52 kg category, too, Roxana Ioanca lost her first match to Polish Agata Perenc through ippon, while Oana Nicolaescu won the first battle with Kazakh Aigunim Tuitekova, but was then defeated by Polish Karolina Pienkowska.
