Bucharest, May 17 /Agerpres/ - Minister of National Defence Mircea Dusa will attend, on Monday, in Brussels, together with defence ministers and foreign ministers of EU member states, the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council (FAC) and the works of the European Defence Agency (EDA) Steering Board.

According to a release of the Ministry of National Defence (MApN) remitted on Sunday to AGERPRES, the main topic on the agenda of the EDA leadership meeting is preparing the European Council meeting on defence and security that is to take place in late-June and is to evidence the progress recorded in the implementation process of the objectives set in the European Council meeting of December 2013, as well as to propose new priority directions in the realm of capability development.

At the same time, the CAE meeting is a good opportunity to discuss the stage of the military missions and operations conducted under the banner of the Common Security and Defence Policy of the European Union.

Other subjects on the meetings' agenda are related to the necessity of revising the EU Security Strategy, given the changes in the global security environment, as well as the implementation of measures meant to ensure access for small and medium-sized enterprises on the military hardware market.
