Targu Murest, Dec 13 /Agerpres/ - The Council of Union Representatives of the Hungarian Democratic Union of Romania (UDMR) this Saturday approved by a broad majority (with just three votes against and seven abstentions) the proposal that the Union should pull out of government. The initial proposal for this move had been made on November 27, in Cluj, by UDMR's Standing Council.
"The Standing Council's recommendation to the Council of Union Representatives (...) is quitting the ruling coalition and carrying on with what we clearly know that we have to do, we'll go back to see to our community, address the issues of our community, and in Parliament we will support all efforts which mean a positive step as far as communities, people, citizens and their future are concerned," UDMR Chairman Kelemen Hunor said back then.
Kelemen Hunor also stressed that the stability of the Ponta Government is not conditioned on UDMR's presence at rule. AGERPRES
