Tarom carries 1.12 million passengers in seven months

The Tarom National Company of Romanian Air Transports, a member of the International Air Transport Association since 1993 and of the Association of European Airlines since 2000, which posted 191.4 million euros in turnover in 2009, carried 1.12 million passengers in the first seven months of 2010, the average load factor grew to 61 percent, informs the air transport company mentioned before.

The company carried a total number of 1.12 million passengers, by 221.826 more than in the same time span of 2009 and by 27,101 passengers more than in January-July 2008 and had 9.743 regular flights to foreign and domestic destinations.

The average load factor of the Tarom aircraft for the January-July 2010 span of time was 61 percent, up by over 8 percent as against the similar time span of 2009. In July 2010 there was the highest load factor, 70 percent, the above-mentioned company carrying more than 192,000 passengers.

Tarom has flights to 54 destinations in the summer season 2010, to countries in Europe, Northern Africa and the Middle East. In 2009, a year when Tarom was named the most reliable brand in the category of air companies, the national company carried over 1.7 million passengers and registered an over 56 percent load factor of the aircraft. For 2010 Tarom estimates more than 2 million passengers to be carried and an over 60 percent load factor.AGERPRES
