INS: Romania's trade deficit widens to RON 22.3 billion Jan.-July 2010

Romania's FOB-CIF trade deficit January - July 2010 stood at RON 22.312 billion (5.36 billion euros), up RON 186 million (129.4 million euros) from the similar period of the year before, according to preliminary estimates with the National Statistics Institute (INS).



Romania's exports January - July 2010 were worth RON 85.626 billion (20.559 billion euros) and CIF imports were worth 107.938 billion (25.923 billion euros).

Compared with January - July 2009, exports were up 23.1 percent when stated in RON and 25 percent when stated in euros, while imports advanced 17.7 percent when stated in RON and 19.6 percent when stated in euros.

Romania's intra-community trade January - July 2010 was RON 62.735 billion (15.049 billion euros) worth of outgoing goods and RON 77.941 billion (18.701 billion euros) worth of incoming goods, making up 73.3 percent of Romania's total exports and 72.2 percent of Romania's total imports. /continued/ AGERPRES
