The turnover was up in all the big industrial groups: the energy industry advanced 23.8 percent; the intermediary goods industry was up 21.4 percent; the capital goods industry was up 13.9 percent; the consumer goods industry advanced 7.6 percent, while the durables industry was up 5.3 percent.
The output in December 2011 was down 10.2 percent on a monthly basis as a result of a 10.5-percent drop in the processing industries and a 3.2-percent decline in the mining industry.
Monthly drops were recorded in the capital goods industry, which was down 19.1 percent; the intermediary goods industry, which declined 14.2 percent; the durable goods industry, down 8.3 percent and the consumer goods industry, down 2.4 percent. The energy industry was up 13.5 percent.
In December 2011 compared with December 2010, Romania's industrial output was up 4.3 percent following a 7.2-percent rise in the mining industry and a 4.2-percent increase in the processing industries.
On the same basis, the output was up 12.5 percent for intermediary goods; 10.3 percent for durables; 5.6 percent for consumer goods and 1.8 percent for the energy industry. Capital goods industry was down 5.2 percent. AGERPRES


Romania's industrial output advanced 15.6 percent in 2011 year over year, as a result of increases in the processing industries (15.9 percent) and the mining industry (8.3 percent), according to a press release of the National Statistics Institute (INS) issued Wednesday.
