Prime Minister Emil Boc asked, on Thursday, the prefects to work with the National Roads and Highways Company (CNADR) and with the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure to implement all the necessary procedures in current conditions.

"I called for this meeting given that the Yellow Code alert of snowfalls and blizzards was announced by the National Meteorology Administration (ANM) for this period. Firstly, I want to be informed by the public authorities with responsibilities in the field on the application of procedures and to discuss punctually if there are major problems related to the weather conditions facing the counties", said Boc at the debut of his video-conference at Victoria Palace.

He urged the prefects to coordinate their actions during this period, in the context in which the snow clearing means are ready.

"Collaborate with the CNADR and with the Ministry of Transport, so that people are not left in the snow", the Premier told them.

Environment Minister Laszlo Borbely, in turn, told the prefects that, in this period, the watchwords must be prevention and communication, pointing out that the Ministry of Environment sent to the counties all data that might be useful.

Prime Minister Emil Boc has organized, on Thursday, at Victoria Palace, a video-conference with the prefects from all counties to take stock of the situation in the country, given the bad weather conditions.

Meteorologists have issued, on Thursday, a three-day Yellow Code alert of heavy snowfalls, blizzards and ice valid all over the country, starting with February 3. AGERPRES
