The Ethical Commission is a mediator between the Council's members and the fashion industry institutions and, also, between manufacturers and fashion consumers in Europe. The Commission will also establish when, why, how, how much and whether to impose sanctions or not, on the basis of the Regulations under the Ethics Fashion Code.

With the highest number of nominations, the European Fashion Council has elected Romania as President of the Ethical Commission, which was represented by the National Institute for Textile and Leather General Director Prof. Emilia Visileanu.

Belgium, Denmark, the Netherlands and Ukraine were chosen as members of the Commission. The Commission's headquarters are located in Bucharest, Romania. The next General Assembly of the European Fashion Council will also be held in Romania, on October 7, 2010 as a Special Session of the program TEX TEH III, the international conference of nanotechnology in the textile sector.AGERPRES
