The aim of the project is improving the knowledge of Asia in Europe and creating a platform for better understanding between researchers, students, business environment, politicians and media structures.
Designed to last two years, the project benefits from the financial support of the European Commission, German Council on Foreign Relations, National Centre for Research on Europe, Tsinghua University and Konrad Adenauer Foundation.
According to a press release of IRSEA, similar studies will be conducted by prestigious institutions in the other seven European countries involved in the project, namely the UK, France, Belgium, Germany, Denmark, Italy and Austria.
Romania is the only country in Eastern Europe participating in the study.
The idea generated from the similar project of ASEF, which has been conducted in 12 Asian countries since 2005. AGERPRES
