The International Federation of Educative Communities (FICE) - Romania section calls on the government to promptly unlock positions in the public health-care system so that hiring be made according to international standards established as per rigorous scientific requirements, and prompt and efficient medical assistance is ensured, reads a release to Agerpres.

According to the cited source, FICE representatives also ask that the payroll and budget projections are worked out, so that health-care and education professions are placed in the pay scale according to the social importance and professional training exigencies they require of those who practice them and these sectors also get the necessary GDP assignments.

"FICE Romania calls on the responsible institutions that are bound to offer health-care, education, social assistance services, to make sure that the employees whose job implies taking care of mothers and children, either directly - as medical staff, or indirectly - as personnel responsible for ensuring the technical, material and economic conditions, take full responsibility for their tasks," reads the press release.

FICE Romania also urges central and local decision-makers to properly invest in supporting the national health-care system, education and social assistance, ensuring the adequate number of personnel, their initial and continued training, as well as the financial resources for them to carry out their duties and for equipping the facilities so that the children come into life, develop and acquire skills for life under optimum conditions.AGERPRES
