The President of the National Liberal Party (PNL, in opposition), Crin Antonescu, proposed, at the Parliament's rostrum, the solution to the demands of Romanians who took to the street, namely the resignation of the President of the country, of the Boc Government and of the all MPs, saying that the opposition MPs are first to be ready to take such a step.

"We required this debate because we believe that the majority of Romanians are discontent, that the majority of Romanians are contesting today the political authorities because 'Down with Basescu' slogan means they want another president, because 'Down with the Government' means that they want another government, and 'Early elections' means they want another Parliament ", said Antonescu during the Joint Meeting of the Parliament's both chambers.

Antonescu asked the Premier to answer if he believes that most Romanians want the same president, same government, same Parliament, or if he has a different assessment of the current situation in the country. The Liberal leader added that Prime Minister Boc dismissed some people on Monday and proposed the Opposition, from now on, "dialogue, good behavior, decency", but the Social Liberal Union (USL) is not in the Parliament to establish a dialogue with the Prime Minister, but to establish a dialogue with the country, which should choose "the people to be recognized."

"In this country, grieves have accumulated not only because you promoted courageous austerity policies, but because you implemented irresponsible policies directed against the country's citizens. You promoted austerity only on the backs of others, and while many people have become increasingly impoverished, a few, a handful, you and your political clientele, have accumulated riches. People cry 'Down with Basescu' because one man only accumulated all the power and uses it abusively against the majority of Romanians, and people cry out against the Government because that not only proved lack of competence, but also ill will, so you must not invent a parallel reality", Antonescu said, steadily addressing to Premier Boc.

Antonescu added that prolongation of tensions in the Romanian society affects the country's economy, and solutions that can stop this situation are "either the gendarmes, or the ballot boxes".AGERPRES
