The two received 10 points after the viewer's televote concluded. The final score was determined after weighing in the decision of a panel of judges, experts in the field. "We are extremely honored" said Ovi on stage. The pair are not at their first appearance in the European contest. They took home third place in 2010 with their song "Playing with Fire".
Incidents at the National Selection: Paula Seling dropped the trophy awarded for her win together with Ovi, breaking it and Alexandra Cepraga, member of the judges' panel fell off the stage at the ceremony leading up to announcing the winners of the National Selection. The judges' panel was composed of Alexandra Cepraga — musical director, Nico — singer and Romania's artist in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008, Nancy Brandes — Conductor, composer and founding member of iconic Romanian rock band Rosu si Negru, Bobby Stoica — Former keyboardist for long-lasting Romanian rock band Voltaj and Madalin Voicu — Conductor, musician and politician.
UPDATE 22.57: Vaida and her song "One More Time" was the viewer's choice.
UPDATE 22.25: The televote for the National Selection for the Eurovision Song Contest ended. Viewers were able to vote for half an hour one of the twelve songs in the contest performed on the stage of the "Sica Alexandrescu" Theatre in Brasov.
UPDATE 22.03: The last six contestants of the National Selection for the Eurovision Song Contestants brought to the stage of the "Sica Alexandrescu" Theater in Brasov "old school" songs that highlighted their vocal skills, electro-influenced songs and folk rock. Silvia Dumitrescu and Naomy chose simpler performances to highlight their vocal skills. Renee Santana feat. Mike Diamondz and Stefan Stan feat. TeddyK brought electro to the stage while Sal sung dressed in a traditional Romanian blouse surrounded by dancers performing to the eclectic folk rock mix.
UPDATE 21.55: Public televote has begun for the National Selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. Viewers can vote for their favorites using the number displayed during the broadcast of the song.
UPDATE 21.38: The contestants in the National Selection for the Eurovision Song Contest brought on the stage of the "Sica Alexandrescu" Theater magic tricks, holograms and flowers Saturday evening. Ovi sung the first notes of "Miracle" together with a hologram of Paula Seling to illustrate the concept of miracle, The dAdA included in their performance a genuine magic show with flames, flowers and sparks. Bere Gratis chose to sing their chorus as a duet, Vizi Imre put on his top hat and sang "Kind of Girl" and Anca Florescu performed in the style of the music video to her song "Hearts Collide"
UPDATE 20.57: The song "Miracle" by Paula & Ovi opened the National Selection for the Eurovision Song Contest on the stage of the "Sica Alexandrescu" theatre in Brasov. The show included a hologram of Paula Seling to illustrate the concept of miracle, Ovi singing the first part of the song accompanied by it. Ovi and Paula Seling are attempting a comeback to the Eurovision Song Contest after they ranked third in 2010 with their song "Playing with Fire".
20.35: Among the guests that walked the red carpet of the show were writers Mircea Dinescu and Florin Iaru. The show also marks 46 years since the first edition of the Golden Stag Festival and can be watched live on TVR International.

The winning song of the National Selection for the Eurovision Song Contest will be known Saturday night after a show that will be broadcast live by the public television from the 'Sica Alexandrescu' theatre in Brasov.
The order in which tonight's competitors will perform is the following: Paula Seling & Ovi — "Miracle", Bere Gratis — "Despre mine si ea", The dAdA — "Unpredictable", The Zuralia Orchestra — "You Know", Vizi Imre—"Kind of Girl", Anca Florescu — "Hearts Collide", Silvia Dumitrescu — "Fiorul iubirii", Renee Santana feat. Mike Diamondz — "Letting Go", Stefan Stan feat TeddyK — "Breathe", Naomy — "Daca tu iubesti", Vaida — "One More Time" and Sal — "Hardjock".
The winners will be determined by equal parts televoting and a score given by a panel of judges composed of experts in the field, with a minimum of five judges sitting and a maximum of seven with two members on stand-by.
Viewers can choose their favorite songs during the show. Each song will be allocated a phone number that will be shown for the entire running time of the song. Once voting will commence viewers can cast their televote from the same terminal for one or more songs but only once per song.
The winner of the National Selection will represent Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest's second semifinal that will take place on May 8. The final will take place on May 10. Romania's not the only country to choose their Eurosong on March 1. Estonia and Lithuania's national finals will take place on the same day. AGERPRES
