The High Court of Cassation and Justice (ICCJ) informs that judge Florentin Dragut was designated chairman of the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) for the elections for the European Parliament of May 25 and judge Rodica Susanu, his deputy.

'According to the provisions of Art 24, Paragraph 2 and Paragraph 4 of Law No 33/2007 on the organization and development of the election for the European Parliament, which was republished, with the subsequent amendments and supplementations, on February 28, 2014, at 9 am, at the headquarters of the High Court of Cassation and Justice, they cast lots for designating the 5 judges that will be on the Central Electoral Bureau for the election for the European Parliament of May 25, 2014, as follows: judge Dragut Florentin Sorin, chairman, judge Susanu Rodica, deputy, judge Zaharia Rodica, judge Riciu Iuliana, judge Serban Leontina,' reads a press release issued by ICCJ.
The five judges were designated in a public meeting by casting lots.
The Romanians are expected to the polls on May 25 to designate their representatives in the European Parliament. AGERPRES
