Romania's Minister Delegate for SMEs, the Business Environment and Tourism Maria Grapini and Chairman of the National Authority for Tourism Razvan Filipescu attend the opening of a travel fair in Tel Aviv, the relevant department reported on Tuesday.
According to the source, on February 11-12 Romania attends the 20th edition of the Tel Aviv travel fair called the International Mediterranean Tourism Market, and has a national stand covering 80 sq m, where there will be 12 tour operators, travel agencies and hotel owners.
The International Mediterranean Tourism Market gathers together tourist offerings from 39 countries on a 4,400 sq m area.
Maria Grapini and Razvan Filipescu are on an official visit to Israel, February 10-11.
On her two days in Israel, Grapini plans to attend the opening of the fair, visit the Romanian pavilion and meet officials of the host country, including Chairman of the Israel-Romania Chamber of Commerce Colette Avital, Avisahy Braverman, deputy in the Knesset, chairman of the economic commission, chairman of the joint economic and financial commission on promoting competition in the food sector, member on the financial commission, president of the Association of Israeli Industrialists Zvi Oren and managing director of the Israel Tourist and Travel Agents Association Yossi Fatael.
Grapini on Tuesday also took part in a seminar promoting Romania as a tourist destination. AGERPRES
